So, some two years after your previous album, you release a new one. On top of that, it's a double album taking on the topic of Socrates'' trail. And yea, let's not forget that it's an instrumental album. That's what Thumos did. The whole thing is called "The Trial of Socrates" and is out now on Snow Wolf Records. Check out our review of this 109 minute long insanity.🤘😈🤘 ... See MoreSee Less

Another COPENHELL is behind us, and it was one for the books — for better or worse. 🤘The first thing that needs to be addressed is the tragic attack on a 64-year-old festival guest, which sadly resulted in their passing. It cast a heavy shadow over an otherwise impeccably peaceful festival. Our thoughts are with all those close to the deceased. 🙏🏻Despite this, it was another edition of the festival where we were spoiled by great music and an incredible atmosphere. This time, we even got to experience that true summer feeling — with barely a drop of rain throughout the entire event. Before the festival started, the choice of headliners was widely criticized. Regardless of what you might think of Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, The Prodigy, Billy Idol, and Slipknot (again!), what's more worrying is that metal festivals in general are struggling to find new headliners — and almost none of the potential candidates are bands younger than 25 years old. This is a dilemma that all major metal festivals are facing. That said, this was another memorable edition of COPENHELL, and perhaps one of the last to be held at its current location at Refshaleøen.---------------------------------------➕All four much-criticized headliners delivered — especially Billy Idol, who gave one of those rare, magical Copenhell performances.www.metal-revolution.com/live/billy-idol-20th-june-2025-heviti-copenhell-festival Kōya leaving the stage to an out-of-tune flute cover of “My Heart Will Go On” by Celine Dion.Skunk Anansie proving once again that they can outmatch just about any live band.www.metal-revolution.com/live/skunk-anansie-18th-june-2025-heviti-copenhell-festival-denmarkAll the shaking hips at the Dizzy Mizz Lizzy concert. We haven’t seen that many since Clutch turned the Hades stage into a massive dance floor back in 2019.www.metal-revolution.com/live/dizzy-mizz-lizzy-18th-june-2025-heviti-copenhell-festivalSenior volunteers in security — always positive, friendly and calm ❤️Safe N Sound concept: www.copenhell.dk/news/safeandsoundThose one-guitar bands. There’s something raw and powerful about the trio of drummer, bassist, and guitarist. Black Sabbath knew it. So did Ronnie James Dio. This year, Skunk Anansie, The Cult, Dream Theater, and Dizzy Mizz Lizzy, reminded us why it works so well live. 🎸Dust clouds rising during circle pits and walls of death. 🌪Walls Of Jericho showing the importance and sheer force of hard work on stage. 💪➖The tragic death of a guest 💔During the first couple of windy days, the stench from the toilets swept toward the stages — perhaps unavoidable at an outdoor festival with tens of thousands in attendance. 🤢The endless “Scream for me, Copenhell!” cries could use some creativity. Try something new. I don’t know — maybe “Bruce Dickinson for me, Copenhell”?WarPigs Brewpub running out of food by early afternoon, and out of most beers several days in a row. 🍻🍖A 7:45 PM artist banning photographers, despite having launched their career on YouTube.
