Myth Of Logic – The Memory of After

The Memory of After is the highly ambitious fourth studio album by Myth of Logic, a Florida-based progressive rock project helmed by multi-instrumentalist Scott G. Davis. Apart from taking on vocal duties, Scott plays keyboards, bass, electric & acoustic guitars. The Memory of After features a list of following guest performances; Chris Barbosa (violin on tracks 1 and 8), David Pate (tenor/saxophone) on track 6, Jerry Outlaw (lead guitar) on track 7, Louis Alexi (drums/percussion) and Tara Jennings (voice-over) on the closing track 8.

Released on November 14, 2025, through Abulia Records, The Memory of After contains eight lengthy tracks and clocking in at a massive 79 minutes and 45 seconds. Where the first three albums together form a trilogy, telling the story of a man named Robin (who mourns his lost love and, through dreamlike experiences, recovers) The Memory of After comes as a massive 80-minute concept album which marks a departure from Davis’s previous Here & There trilogy. Thus, on this new record, Scott & Myth Of Logic explore a new story centered around ‘…a telepathic race called The Architects and a unique child named Mercy’.

The lyrical structure and numerous atmospheric shifts do a great job of building this unique sci-fi narrative, giving the multi-part epics a strong sense of cinematic storytelling. Furthermore one can hear some sweeping, soaring and majestic keyboards & synths, thumping prominent bass, thrusting and expressive guitars, and quirky drumming. The Memory of After has been recorded at ‘Boyz Club South Studio’ and mixed exceptionally well – featuring raw, mid-forward, and grinding bass grooves that drive the entire record.

The best musical parts on this album are the opening piece “The Memory Of After (Part I) – Keep A Silent Watch” and the closing monumental one “The Memory Of After (Part II) – The Skeleton Flower” (listen below), both being two epic pieces of music featuring the fantastic violin playing, with the rich tapestry of sound – including piano ballad exposures, soaring vocal lines, odd time-signature breakdowns, and even a standout cello solo section. The dynamic shorter number “Disconnect” is another of the highlights from The Memory of After – a track that makes great use of Scott Davis’s buzzing synthesizers and strong keyboard constructions.

The album’s visually powerful artwork was created by Charlie Roy, a painter known for collaborating with the band to synthesize abstract fine art with progressive storytelling. The main cover art is paired with vivid portraiture, including an oil-on-canvas painting of a dark-haired woman with striking blue eyes who personifies the main character, Mercy.

In closing; The Memory of After is a grandiose, sweeping, epic, technical, complex yet accessible eighty minutes of majestic progressive rock. Myth Of Logic is rooted in a deep love of Progressive Rock of all eras, but primarily that of the 70s, and bands like Genesis, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Rush, Spock’s Beard, Kansas, Yes, Saga etc.
