DeadDue – Cycle of Violence

DeadDue is a Warsaw-based six-piece outfit comprised of the following musicians: Jakub Żelechowski (vocals), Michał Kafliński (guitar), Piotr Smolik (guitar), Filip Kawka (drums), Jan Nalborczyk (bass), and Aleksander Łyś (second vocals). The band is accompanied by Michał Król (mix/master), Filip Pągowski (drum recording/production), and Elżbieta Woźniak (album artwork design & band logo).

Cycle of Violence is the band’s blistering 2025 EP, consisting of six tracks that deliver an uncompromising blend of nu-metal, hardcore, and deathcore elements. The EP marks a massive step up from their debut, Straight Message, released in April 2025. On Cycle of Violence, the six-piece outfit delivers a relentless assault of heavy, massive, down-tuned, and groovy guitar riffs, aggressive deep dual-vocal trade-offs, and crushing breakdown and beatdown sections designed for the pit. The vocals deserve special mention; the dual-frontman delivery of Jakub Żelechowski and Aleksander Łyś keeps the sonic assault fresh, shifting dynamically across styles.

Thematically, the EP deals with a deeply personal and aggressive exploration of physical and emotional abuse, utilizing both self-deprecating and serious undertones. Cycle of Violence opens with “.fear.”, a short and eerie intro setting a dark atmosphere while building heavy tension for the chaos ahead. It flows into the second track, “Vile”, which is loaded with heavy, crushing beatdown riffs. Next is “STFU”, featuring pure, aggressive, ‘in-your-face’ vocals driven by dynamic and fast drumming. “Make a Move” is another short, fast-paced song with a high-energy vocal flow. “Die For Me” serves as the epic and climatic centerpiece of the EP, featuring emotional yet intensely heavy guitar work. The record is packed with numerous heavy, slow breakdowns and short, impactful tracks, concluding with a frantic, 1-minute and 47-second chaotic outro, “Don’t Bring Roses to My Grave”. This closing song sounds dark, gloomy, abrasive, and deeply melancholic, featuring a brutal dual-vocal attack and a fast, heavy, raw handling of instruments—a short, sweet, and totally violent grand finale!

In addition, the 6-track record features notable guest appearances, including Saltwound on “Vile” and Grobel on “Make a Move”. The album art and band logo, designed by Elżbieta Woźniak, feature imagery that perfectly complements the EP’s themes of anger, aggression, and relentless emotional cycles. Finally, the EP deserves praise for its immense wall of sound and brutal, live-like energy. This was primarily brought to life by Michał Król, who handled the production, engineering, mixing, and mastering of the tracks.
