You know life is really short and I have other things to do, so please let me make this statement immediately: Arch Enemy’s latest release Rise of the Tyrant is pure fucking metal at its best!
Rise of the Tyrant is already Arch Enemy’ seventh album, but it is much diverse and different from anything they’ve done before, or at least different from their previous Doomsday Machine from 2005. I mean there are still recognizable elements of power, energy, fast and melodic riffs and a bunch of nice solos, all of this accompanied by the aggressive but sexy as hell vocals of Ms. Gossow.
Tracks as “Blood on your Hands”, “The Last Enemy” and Wages of Sin” are real thrashing monsters containing well proved old formula of how to create as brutal and as catchy music as this. Instrumental track “Intermezzo Liberté” on the other hand is the best proof of above mentioned diversity and difference as I don’t remember any previous track from Ach Enemy having this vibe and showing maybe the modest side of this band. This disc is a must have for old Arch Enemy fans and to any fan of extreme metal, but it is not worse choice either for the new fans, people who haven’t heard of this strong Swedish unit before. Rise of the Tyrant is everything I’m looking for in a metal release, a great blend of melody and brutality, what more can one ask for?! For further info visit well known website www.archenemy.net
I think that the band really rocks. Esp Angela. She is amazing. I like their new album tooBase Not Your Joy Upon The deeds Of Others, For What Is given Can Be Taken Away.
