This is the first time I’ve stumbled across Dutch Black Metal act Sammath. Formed in 1994 by Jan Kruitwagen, Sammath delivers its third full work of controlled black metal-chaos. This is the new release from these satanic worshippers and it’s good. The album is felt with a lot of aggression, evilness and brutality. Violence merged with decadence, and mood coalescing in a delicate sense of melodic build-up and deconstruction create foundations for ambitious epics of balanced ripping speed, it’s want you will hear on the CD. This is blazing and totally aggressive Black Metal which is their battle-plan, and it is one that is executed with extreme prejudice. Sammath aims to crush who stand before them and they do it without mercy. To put things straightforward: a must-hear for everyone showing interest in the genre. For any further evil info visit the band at www.sammath.nll
