Hate Takes Its Form (2008) was the latest release from the Danish death metal act, Dawn of Demise. Now this hard-hitting combo from Jutland is back again stronger than ever with their new effort A Force Unstoppable. The album consists of nine well-played track; of raw death metal. All the tracks have heavily distorted guitars, deep growling vocals combined with blast-beats from the drums. There is no doubt that DOD knows how to be brutal and draw attention to its work. “Juggernaut” and “Awaken the Aggression” are among the tracks which are my favorite. Both tracks have the rawness and aggression of old-school death metal and high speed & quality. Even though it’s a strong and well played album, I do find the music has the same riffs, there are not that much of variation as I expected it to be. It feels like we’ve heard most of it before…The band find its inspiration of bands like Suffocation, Nevermore and Meshuggah witch can be heard on this release too. If you are into death metal, and like to smash your head into the wall, then A Force Unstoppable must be yours.
