Hybrid Theory was the debut album of the American rock band Linkin Park, it was released on October 24, year 2000.
The CD has sold 29 million copies throughout the globe, which makes it one of the best selling albums of the decade. What appeals to me about this album is the way Linkin Park combines hard rock and rap in such a way that for me it was breathtaking, Chester Bennington are maybe one of the most talented rock singers on the market today, and his mixture of screaming distorting and normal singing is so mind-blowing that you can do nothing but sit in awe and wait for more.
Although it's an old album it is one of the best I have heard, in a long time and it still occurs on my playlist when I'm going to or from work, also this is actually the album from Linkin Park who offers me the most enjoyment for listening. I find that the others to have become very MTV-friendly. With songs like "Runaway" and "In the End" which gave them a lot of attention on the mainstream market, they're are not to blame though, but I would have loved to hear more songs like "Crawling" or "Points of Authority".
Though points can be made and things be said about Linkin Park, it is in my opinion one of the best Rock Bands out there at the moment, and concert-wise they are ultimately in my top 5, mainly due to the incredible singing voice of Chester Bennington.
