MR: What is currently spinning on you CD/MP3 player? Andy Cairns: Martyn-Yet / Kode 9-Black Sun / Zu-Carboniferous Neil Cooper: Last night i was listening to Die Chihuahua Die, Rusko and Rush's Moving Pictures Michael McKeegan: Kylesa-Static Tensions, Deep Purple-Stormbringer, Disrupt-The Bass Has Left The Building MR: What was the latest concert you have seen, not including the bands you've toured with? AC: Last week i saw Cambridge band General Lee in concert. Great band, sound like Unsane meet Kyuss. NC: I was at the General Lee gig with Andy, they were shockingly good. Went to see Kidnapper Bell last night (XTC meets Fugazi - mini album out soon on my label Stressed Sumo Records - shameless plug!!!!) MM: N.I.’s finest new band-Dutch Schultz. MR: What inspires you to create music? AC: Everything inspires me to make music, bad days, dog walks, it's all there. NC: All types of things - inspiration from new and old tunes, disillusionment with certain areas of the music industry (i'm a disgruntled, grumpy old bloke really)..... oh, and the simple, no nonsense, enjoyment of getting together with Michael and Andy and making an unearthly racket! MM: Everything and anything can be a motivation to being creative. MR: How the hell do I get my hands on Bad Mother CD-single???? AC: Dude, even i don't have a copy of Bad Mother! NC: Sorry, not a clue. MM: You can’t have my copy, I had to beg a Belgian radio producer for mine! MR: Tell us one weird thing you know about Denmark? AC: The great Dubstep producer 2000F comes from there NC: I'm a season ticket holder for Derby County and our centre half Martin Albrechtsen's from Denmark - not exactly a WEIRD fact though is it?! MM: Apparently Danes work longer hours each week compared to the average Briton…I read that in the newspaper this weekend so it must be true!
